BLOG FAQS

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?

My interest in personal finance started in college where I experienced most of my financial turmoil. So I would try to learn something in the personal finance sphere every day and decided since I knew how to make websites maybe I could spread the knowledge to others. So now I post weekly articles in a way that if you choose a subcategory of finance you can learn everything to know on it by learning the basics and advancing from there.

WHY THE NAME “R&R FINANCE?

"R&R" stands for rest and recreation and honestly was the first thing that came to mind. In my opinion, it fits perfectly as learning finance should be easy to understand because we can all acknowledge that we don't love money but love what it allows us to access.

WHAT MAKES THIS BLOG DIFFERENT?

The tonality and the trend. I try to deliver quality content that is easy to read, and simple to understand. I not only provide content but also create and give access to the many spreadsheets and resources I use to manage my finances, which you can access in my archive site. I believe in showing my math and I feel this method is more relatable because visual learning is much more highly comprehensible.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE?

To teach of course. There are too many salesmen out in the world trying to get you to spend your money with them who don't represent your wellbeing as much as they would like you to believe. I've always heard that 85% of people in finance are salesmen and the other 25% are the teachers. I prefer the latter.

WHAT’S YOUR POLICY ON WORKING WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS OR BRANDS?

Staying true to my readers is important. To do so, I always welcome collaborating with various organizations, people, and brands to provide great content to all readers. Any organizations, people, or brands that reach out, please give me within 48 hours to get back to you.
